Venerable Khensur Wangdak Lobsang Tenzin was born in Tibet in 1934 and entered monastic life at age 10. He studied in Tibet and later fled to India in 1960. Receiving the highest Geshe Lharampa degree from Drepung Monastery he has both taught and been Abbot of Namgyal Monastery in Dharamsala, India. He now resides in the USA at Chenrezig Tibetan Buddhist Center. Most recently in December 2010 he taught the Foundation of All Good Qualities.

Jhampa Shaneman studied Mahayana Buddhism in Dharmsala, India from 1971 until 1984 as an ordained monk. He studied with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, His Holiness's senior tutor Kyabje Ling Rinpoche, Ven. Geshe Rabten, Geshe Dhargaye and other noted Lamas of that time. He carries various lineages from all four schools of Tibetan Buddhism, and has completed the traditional three and one-half year retreat. Jhampa is one of the first western practitioners to be given permission by His Holiness the Dalai Lama to teach all levels of Mahayana and Vajrayana. He was secretary for Ling Rinpoche, the senior tutor to the Dalai Lama. He has studied and translated for high lamas in all four schools of Tibetan Buddhism.
